Laurie Oxenford is an interdisciplinary artist, curator and producer critically reimagining the potential of urban spaces and ecologies. Now working from nipaluna, lutruwita (Hobart, Tasmania), her practice is a series of continuous experiments in relationship with public space, informal mapping and speculative (post-extractivist) geologies in and beyond the *Anthropocene.

In 2025, Laurie joined Contemporary Art Tasmania as Exhibitions and Touring Coordinator and exhibited her seventh solo exhibition with Good Grief Studios (nipaluna/Hobart). In 2023 she completed an internship at Triangle Asterides in Marseille, France. She was the Exhibitions Officer at HOTA, Home of the Arts and was previously Project Curator with Art-Public (Art-Work Agency) and Lead Curator at First Coat Studios, Toowoomba. She collaborates with Merinda Davies on Parks Anonymous and is on the board of Constance ARI. Laurie is a Co-Director of artist collective, PUBLIC PALACE, founded with Grace Dewar in 2021.
